This postdoctoral opportunity is initially for one year with possibility of renewal for one further year, and is suitable for candidates who have completed a Ph.D with appropriate training in statistics and epidemiology. The IARC postdoctoral stipend is currently €2750 per month. The cost of travel for the fellow, and in certain circumstances for dependants, will be met, a dependant’s allowance paid, and health insurance covered.

A postdoctoral opportunity is available immediately within the Group to work on an integrated approach to combine self-reported and biomarker estimates of dietary exposure, with the aim of exploring the misclassification inherent in these measurements. The research activity will use Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) techniques to make use of Bayesian statistical inference. Data will be available from the EPIC study to explore the role of dietary fat in the etiology of breast cancer. The postdoctoral fellow will work in an innovative, well-equipp ed and scientifically stimulating environment and will have opportunities to interact and collaborate with scientists from IARC and the EPIC network.
