At the University of Lausanne more than 130 research units are currently at work in a wide variety of disciplines ranging from Greek Numismatics to Cyber-marketing or Developmental Biology.

Within our institutes, laboratories and libraries, 2000 researchers, 500 of whom are professors, work daily on research projects of national or international importance.

Working on the principle that knowledge transcends boundaries, collaboration between disciplines is now a priority. Programmes such as SVS (Science, Life and Society), IRIS (Social Integration, Regulation and Innovation), and Anthropos examine the tendency for different fields of knowledge to overlap.
